Trained RNA cellular virologist focused on pathogenesis with side hustles in immunology and disease ecology working to better understand reservoir biology through a One Health lens. Postdoctoral T32 fellow in the Larner College of Medicine Division of Immunobiology/Pulmonology and Critical Care. Active participant of the Vermont Lung Center. Mentored by Jason Botten, PhD and investigating the cellular control of arenavirus population diversity and mechanisms of persistence in the reservoir host.

Completed doctoral research in Stacey Schultz-Cherry's laboratory at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Defended dissertation, Attenuation of Interferon Responses in the Obese Host and Ramifications for Influenza Virus Evolution, in October 2020.

Graduated Summa cum laude with a BS in biology and concentration in molecular biology and biotechnology with minors in chemistry and psychology. Senior thesis: Adoptive T-cell Therapies in Science and Practice.
